Description: A quite rare antique woodblock print I bought in Japan, the artist is Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, from the series 100 Aspects of the moon, the print represents Lady Chiyo. Lady Chiyo, a poetess famous for the poem about morning-glories taken over her well. She hoisted a water bucket. The bottom of the bucket fell out. The water runs out and does not reflect the full moon any longer. Great condition, Great color and Embossing. Handcrafted Mulberry paper. please look at the pictures before buying.Publisher, carvers details are on the back. It is the re-carved edition from the Showa era.
