Description: Yellow Cloisonne Enamel Vase Floral Flowers Andon Japanese Japan 9.5" Vintage Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful, vintage Japanese cloisonne vase by Ando. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This vase has a light yellow background with decoration of chrysanthemums and leaves on one side. There are silver tone metal rims above and below. This piece is approximately 9 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. Included with the vase is a folding Ando brochure which shows the process by which it was made, and it also has printed care instructions. Unpacked, this heavy piece weighs 2 pounds 5.4 ounces. This would be a very nice addition to a collection of vintage Asian decorative arts. Identification This piece is Ando Japanese cloisonne; it has a small Ando symbol beneath, on the silver tone rimmed foot. It is vintage, and its exact age is not known. Condition This piece looks great overall, with light wear. The vase has no chips or dents. The metal rims have some scratches and minor finish wear. The folding brochure shows some wear from handling and it is curled from being stored inside the vase.
