Description: Welcome to this listing for an original Personalized WWII Ka-Bar Mark 2 USMC Fighting Knife, OAL 11 7/8". A similar example and description can be seen in the book U.S. and Allied Military Knives World War II by Bill Walters, Page 400 - 403. This knife has features of the 3rd generation USMC knife. The leather grip is in nice shape showing honest age, wear, or use, see pics for the condition! The guard and the pommel, with matching patina, are in good shape. The blade is in decent condition, measuring 6 7/8". The blade shows honest use, light / moderate sharpening, cleaning, age, graying, surface spotting, and wear, see pictures to judge condition for yourself. A nice original modified leather sheath is paired with this knife. This example is most likely a 5th or 6th generation sheath and is really cool because it is personalized with a name, "Donald G. Weseman HAR DET and USMC" on the reverse side of the sheath. The cross strap button and snap function as expected. The belt loop has been cut off and two slits made in the leather to slip a belt through. I see no other integrity issues with the the sheath. You will receive the exact knife and sheath picture.
