Description: Original WW2 British infantry map of GERMANY entitled "KAISER WILHEM KOOG" that has been printed on the back of a captured German map covering an area of WALES that includes Swansea and Llanelly etc. The area covered by the British map was entirely reclaimed from the sea using a series of polders, including one built during the Nazi regime - hence its name. The British side of the map was printed in April 1945 as the Allies pushed deeper into Germany. The German side has been trimmed down to fit the smaller mobile Allied presses. Both maps are shown in the photos. In great condition. Please see my other WW2 (and WW1) maps including several more rare captured and repurposed examples. PLEASE NOTE - Following BREXIT, some items exported from the UK to EU countries may now incur import tariffs on arrival. This depends on the overall value of the item (or items) contained within the package. UK sellers are now required to display these details in the form of a Customs Declaration attached to the outside of the package. Such matters are beyond my control as the process is administered by the Customs Department of the destination country. With this in mind, please can all buyers from EU countries make themselves aware of how these changes may affect them when purchasing items from the UK. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. (Seller's Ref - M0421)
