Description: Original WW2 (1945) British RAF map of GERMANY, AUSTRIA & ITALY entitled "BOLZANO" that features MUNICH, SALZBURG, UDINE and BERCHTESGADEN (Site of Hitler's infamous 'EAGLE'S NEST' retreat.) The map was printed in February 1945 - just a few months ahead of the capture of the Eagle's Nest. In great condition. This item came from a small batch of RAF maps which had seemingly been produced in excess during the War and stamped up to be sold off as a 'Sales Copy' (hence the ink stamp in the bottom right corner). However, some of the batch also have operational flightpaths marked in pencil, so it's possible that they were actually issued despite what the ink stamp would suggest.
