Description: Rare magnificent antique Wedgwood black basalt 15” tall Covered Pedestal Urn (Vase) with two handles and the detailed protruding “Apollo & Muses (Melpomene, Calliope, Euterpe, and Erato)” relief. It is a truly rare monumental centerpiece. Finial was professionally repaired (there is a barely visible line of glue, pics. 2, 11 & 21; and a small bolt to keep it firm, pic. 20) many years ago. Other than that we could not find any visible damage, aside from age appropriate ware, such as some stains and minor scratches.
