Any damages must be documented with the freight carrier before they depart your location. We insure ALL of our shipments and take photographs when they are wrapped prior to shipping. Freight Shipping Damages: Unfortunately, shipping damage and total lost is an issue among the freight industry. Even though we crate, pallet and use protective materials on our items, we sometimes cannot control mishandling or damages that may occur while in transit. If there is any damage, it must be indicated on the Bill of Lading that the driver gives you to sign. If you do not examine the merchandise and you still sign for it, you will NOT be able to file a claim or hold the shipper responsible. Freight companies deny millions of dollars in damages because items were not inspected at the time of delivery and were not marked as "damaged" on the Bill of Lading. If your item has been crated, please expect to uncrate it, and inspect it before the driver has left and before you sign for it. A driver is obligated to wait.
