Description: SHIPS TO LOWER 48 U.S. ONLY.Excellent parts strat, custom ordered Musikraft neck (the best) Warmoth finished body (also the best). Old style Floyd Rose with Graftech Un-Lock Nut.Ah....where to start.....!I wanted to build a guitar like the ones I saw the older guys in my neighborhood with, all these vintage strats with "that new Floyd Rose thing" on it; no guitar was coming stock with them yet. The original non-fine tuner Floyd Rose that is still the most super solid, toneful and stable trem bridge you can find; no tone sucking moving parts. The only thing that moves is the bridge on the posts. AND.....I used the original "cranked into the wood" studs, no tone killing body inserts. The string vibrations go as straight into the wood as is possible. (NOTE: It was only the cheap Asian plywood body guitars that had a problem with these - here you have a proper Ash body). To add to the killer tone and sustain this guitar has there is a FR brand brass block. And to top it off, it's nickel instead of chrome - a little more grown up looking. Lastly, the GrafTech Un-Lock nut keeps this thing in UNBELIEVABLY good tune, as if the thing is locked down almost. So wank away care-free.The Neck; Musikraft is just the best. I asked them to take their asymmetrical .86 to .90 and sand it down to .84 to .88 and it turned out perfect. Still some meat, but those thumb over the top barre chords never sounded cleaner or felt this comfortable and easy to do. Birdseye maple, rosewood dots, giant frets and 10" to 16" radius. My finishing isn't Custom Shop quality but I did a fine job. It looks nice and vintagy. Btw I don't sand out the orange peel on the fingerboard, i buff it (until my elbow hurts) and it's nice and smooth without sticking without that cheap matte finish look. Tuners are self-locking Gotoh; again, the best - no big fugly knob in the back, again, nickel, not chrome. The Body; Warmoth Ash, black/yellow burst (pre-'59 style) and looks great. My pics don't do it justice as the grain looks like a big glowing, golden Sea Bass and it's gorgeous.Electronics; two Seymour Duncan SSL-1 w/ SSL-6 bridge pickup. Oaks-Grigsby Super Switch to get the bridge/middle in series tone on position four and program the tone controls in the most sensible way, but you can have that redone to your taste. There are three small flaws; a chip about the size of a pinhead at the waist on the bass side, a hole under the trem springs (a little mistake made while doing some weight relief routing under the pickguard) and the WD pickguard I ordered with the Floyd Rose cut-out didn't quite line up with the rest of the guitar, so the tech who installed the Floyd had to sand a bit away on the bass side. Still looks fantastic and everything works like it should.I know I'll never get my money back on a partscaster (about $1700), but I've owned and played dozens of Fender and G&L strats and none can actually beat this one in sound, feel, tuning or looks. Now I want to build another so this one will have to make room for that before I bond with it too much.Comes with gig bag and FREE Franklin strap.Check out my other great stuff for sale.Sorry - lower 48 only.Local pickup can be arranged. No returns.ENJOY!!!
