Vtg Holzkunst Christian Ulbricht Thanksgiving Pilgrim Nutcracker Large 16 ½” Ge

Description: I am selling my small ‘colony’ of three Ulbricht pilgrim nutcrackers. I didn’t get them all at the same time but started my collection as a newlywed in the early ‘90s. My husband loved them too. I didn’t save the boxes because I never thought I’d be parting with them, but my circumstances have changed, and they will bring joy to someone else. They are just so fun to look at and are sure to create a welcoming atmosphere for your Thanksgiving guests. I have taken good care of these treasures and displayed them only at Thanksgiving. They each have a flaw or two, which I will describe. HAPPY HARVEST & THANKSGIVING! This tall fellow features a high hat, a felt ‘shirt’ and outfit in burgundy and blue. He has curly white faux-fur hair, moustache and beard, and blue eyes. He carries a basket containing a bounty of pumpkins and squash. These are attached to the basket so will not tumble out. (Note: the basket just rests on the crook of his right arm and is not attached. It will be wrapped carefully and marked in the box I mail him in.) His left hand carries two squashes. His nose shows areas of wear to the varnish. This could be touched up, but I think leaving him as is adds to his charm. One foot slides laterally and the other has a little paint chipping to the buckle on one shoe and on the belt. The underside of the base is branded.
