Description: This is a 1977 dated Craftsman 6-drawer top tool chest with NON-original barrel keys and lock. You can see the updated keys/lock, which work perfectly. There’s some light rust and scratches and scuffs from age/wear on the exterior of the box. There are no dents or signs of abuse or damage on the box itself. Most drawers were lined with thin vinyl laminate material and you can see that the drawers are quite nice-obviously not perfect and haven’t been “over-cleaned”. The personalized name placard of the first owner is still intact and is attached with two small screws. No paintwork has been done anywhere on the box. ALL the drawers slide nicely, although they’re not recently greased/oiled. All the drawer slides are nice and there’s no abnormal slop/wear in any of them. The top carry tool tray is long gone as well, like most of these boxes. Photos show condition accurately. The box has been lightly cleaned and separate of a greater effort-this box shows about as good as it’s going to get without paint work or some significant polishing/buffing of the red paint at least. The Ford and dealership stickers will stay in place for the next owner to decide to keep or remove. This box can be placed atop any Craftsman 26” middle/intermediate box or a rolling unit-or obviously and other surface you like. (I have the matching top 4-drawer middle chest in another listing). Local pickup in Union Grove, Wi 53182 for cash buyers and shipping to the lower 48 is free.
