Description: Wild patterned Vintage 1960s Patchwork Madras Jacket. Made and sold by the famous and now closed Trimingham's Department store in Bermuda. A very unusual pattern I've never seen before on this all cotton traditional 'Bleeding Madras' jacket. Multi-color patches stitched between a grid of royal blue. Real mother of pearl two button front and cuffs, notched collar, skeleton rayon lining and a single rear vent. Three exterior pockets and four interior pockets. Marked a size '41' but closer to a 40. Chest measures 21 inches across pit to pit and 18 across the shoulders. The length minus the collar is 31.75 and the sleeves are 24.5 inches long. In good condition but would benefit from a dry cleaning. A number of specs and small spots present, see photos. Also a bit of glue residue from a small piece of tape that was left on the lining at the neckline. Nothing too bad and spot treatment and cleaning would help. A pretty incredible jacket.
