Description: This vintage 1950s fanée California evening dress set is a stunning piece that will make you stand out in any occasion. The set does not have any tags for the fabric contents, but I am pretty positive it is a silk organza on top of possibly a silk taffeta. The cut and fit of the set is a complete dream and I’ve never seen a top like this in my life. It reminds me of tinkerbell in the best way possible. The bodice is also boned to help with the structure. The tag says this set is a vintage size 12, but the bodice wouldn’t even zip up on my size 6 dress form. Measurements for the bodice are as follows: bust: 30-31”, waist: 24”, length: 15.5”. Measurements for the skirt are as follows: waist: 24.5”, hips: 38-39”, length: 32.5”. The metal zippers on both pieces work beautifully, but unfortunately this set is flawed. The organza is ripped in many many places on both the skirt and top, the skirt needs a new hook & eye closure, & I noticed a couple stains that may or may not come out as I have not attempted to clean these delicate pieces (please see photos). I really hope someone is able to see the vision of this beauty and restore it back or possibly even use it as a pattern to create a new one/more.
