Vtg 1940s USA Beige Couture Hourglass Cocktail Illusion Dress 10

Description: Genuine Vtg 40s Couture Silk and lace illusion dress with thin spaghetti shoulder straps with three quarter length lace sleeves and bodice. Condition is very good vintage. No stains, rips, tears, strange odours No label on this dress. During this period, many dresses were constructed and designed by seamstresses. The outline of the dress is a pencil, hourglass skirt, darted at the waist and a plain skirt at the front. The back of the skirt is a wonderful accordion pleated vent that properly pressed would be outstanding. The back bodice is constructed of lace left open to reveal the slip dress underneath. The zip coming up to the lower shoulder blades. The bodice front again lace finishes just below the bust and is accentuated by a horizontal bow of the same fabric. The condition is outstanding.
