A lot of people think the "S" stands for 'Soul', but that is actually a different model. The "S" actually stands for "Special Jazz". This model began production in 1969. It is made of hard rubber, not plastic. It has flat inner side walls, and a medium round chamber. It is stamped 7 on the side, and the tip opening measures right on spec at .085". This mouthpiece is in excellent used condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth, and original. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The rubber is still black and shiny, and the logo is clear. There is light scratching on the exterior. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
