It is a masterpiece of traditional craftmanship; handwoven, believed to be around the early 1980s, of organic wool and natural dyes by Anatolian nomadic tribal women. It can be used as a functional prayer rug, eye captivating mural display, or stunningly contrasting floor covering. It has been well cared for and has aged gracefully, and will last generations. It has a few creases which will iron themselves out when put back into use, due to recent storage. Nowadays you won't find many of these kilims being handmade to this high standard, due to continuous modernisation in the region.
