Description: Vintage Silvertone 1961 model Jupiter 1423 semi-hollow body electric guitar in excellent condition with original hard case This 1961 Silvertone Jupiter 1423 vintage guitar was made by Harmony in Chicago USA . It has a beautiful black sparkle finish that was exclusive to the Silvertone-branded version of this guitar, available via Sears offered from 1959-63, and was one of Silvertone's more expensive offerings. Its in excellent condition for its age , no damage , well preserved, fully functional electronics , tuners , original De-Armond Gold Foil pickups with a tone that is full and dynamically responsive . Frets and fretboard are excellent with no wear , all original hardware , no modifications at all , plays great , excellent action , no buzzing , body shows normal aging checking with the desired amount , little scratches in the finish here and there , hard to see if any dings are present but maybe one small noticeable ding, no cracks , no repairs , great example with original vintage 1960s case . DeArmond Gold Foil pickups dated July 27, 1961 C-shaped profile carved neck with generous shoulder. Maple fretboard features multi-ply binding and pearloid block inlay, original slender frets have their full factory height. Scale length : 24 1/4" bone nut is a full 1 3/4" wide. The headstock has the full raised metal Silvertone logo. Individual Waverly open-gear tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well. Original electronics with a Blender 3 way knob. This knob acts as a balance control between the two pickups when both are selected, giving the player a smooth gradient between the Bridge and Neck positions. Hardware includes the original rosewood floating bridge and nickel trapeze tailpiece with notably clean plating. The full complement of mini black DeArmond bell knobs is present.
