They were painted in the 1990s by Natural State Finishing, the same firm that painted housings for Western Electric.- The initials BW can be seen under the paint inside the housing. Noted collector Bill Wright personally ordered the parts painted from Phyllis at NSF.- Includes the light bulb and night light switch. Needs an external transformer to light. (Kits are readily available on eBay and elsewhere.) Excellent cosmetic condition. Tested and works on a telephone tester. Displays well. See photos for details. Passed these basic tests on a vintage phone tester: loop, receive, transmit, dial (all digits OK), and ring. Works on a vintage POTS phone line, and “should” work on a modern line that supports tone dialing.Due to the age and technical changes in wired phone service delivery since the1970s, there is no guarantee that it will work on a modern phone line.Sold as-is.
