Description: VINTAGE OLYMPIA DE LUXE TYPEWRITER WITH CASE NICE CONDITION 1957 ERA I bought this from an elderly church member at a garage sale over 30 years ago. I'm pretty certain that she was the original owner. I had originally planned to get it up and functioning 100% and use it to write a novel or something. Well that never happened and the computer age is upon us so it has sat in a closet forever waiting for a new home. The ribbon was bone dry so I bought a new one from Amazon and I have uploaded a sample of the typing. Personally, I think it looks pretty cool. The rubber pads on the bottom of the case need to be replaced but that is about the only problem I can see. I looked at several similar models online and it looks like this is a 1957 model... I said 1957 "era" just to cover my butt. The price is right compared to some of the others like this. Please look carefully at the pictures and ask any questions you may have before bidding or buying. What you see is what you get.
