Description: Vintage Moreau Repro MCM Spelter Figural Two Women Table Lamp Paris Neoclassical This is a vintage reproduction of an antique Auguste Moreau table lamp from Collection Connoisseur. It dates to the 1950s-60s, when all things French Provincial and Regency reigned. It’s cast from spelter and has a composition wood fiber base. This is classic Moreau, a figural of two women, one looking on as the other reads a book. This lamp is HEAVY. Local pickup is encouraged, as shipping will be quite high.It has a few condition issues, but overall not too bad. Working order. Cord looks good. Color is great, wonderful subdued French gold with ivory and handpainted details on the ladies. Here are the issues:Missing the harp. No shade.Missing one of the ball feet. I am actively looking for a replacement, and if I find one, will repair this area. If not, you can expect to receive as-is.There is crazing in the finish on the base, and two small areas of chipped spelter. Both of these issues are shown in photos. The chipped areas are on the front, sitting woman’s gown in the folds, so they are not readily apparent. Please review all photos for full description. Stamped in mold Francaise Paris on the reverse.
