Description: Mid 19th century whale oil / fluid lamp in good overall condition for its age. It has some scattered areas of flaking/mold roughness appropriate with use and age mainly on the bottom step of the base. The lamp has a free blown bulb form font with a period pewter collar. The beehive wafer connects the quadruple stepped base. It stands 9 3/4" to the top of the period burner. Its a very nice lamp that would make a fine addition to your collection. As with the majority of early glass, it may contain some normal inclusions such as seeds, bubbles, cooling marks, etc. Please view all pictures as they are a main part of the description.
