This set's price reflects the condition of the gold. Still a beautiful set and, based upon my attempt to identify the pattern and brand, a relatively uncommon set. Georges Briard was an American designer in the 1950's - 1970's and is most well-known for his glassware and dishware. His glassware was stocked at stores like Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller.
