Description: Vintage low ball cocktail glass decorated with gold & black cats. Signed: c)Georges Briard R). Just over 4 inches high & a little less than 3 1/4 inches in diameter. Note the gold is layered on in 2 different thicknesses - smooth thin foil, and thicker painted overlay on the foil. These thicker sections show ‘alligatoring’ - thin crackle lines as seen in paint alligatoring, not a defect but something that happens because they wanted to add more gold.Good gift or as a spare for your current collection. Condition is vintage preowned near excellent with no chips or cracks, but a faint wear line to gilt on one of the cats and a small scratch on bottom.
