Description: Here is a nice "project piece" for someone out there. This is one of those classic Louis Marx & Company O gauge piggyback flatcars with the Linemar of Japan tin trailer as a load. The flat is an ERIE in maroon with yellow lettering and has 8 diecast metal wheels on Type G trucks (the prior owner put diecast wheels on in place of the normal stamped metal ones that usually come on this type of truck) and has plastic tilt couplers on both ends. The flat is in nice shape. The trailer is a white New York Central trailer, and it could use some work. All of the nameplates are here, but one of them have rust damage. The rear doors are present and complete. The tiny front wheels are missing. That is factory paint, but it hasn't aged well on one side! Still, the NYC trailers are quite a bit harder to find than the Burlingtons, and you do have one really nice side and original rear doors! Anyway, photos show the car with load from all 6 sides, plus a shot to show top of flatcar and bottom of trailer, plus a shot to show the logo on the trailer bottom, with a yardstick in the shots for size reference. Priced to sell, with only actual USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail shipping charged to the winner!
