Description: Vintage LAKESIDE swivel-base bench vise of the style featured in the MONTGOMERY WARD catalogs of the 1940's and 1950's. Bottom of base casting is marked with "350" which may indicate March 1950. Jaw width is 3 1/2" which can open to accommodate objects up to 4 1/2". Vise design has an integrated small anvil; hole in anvil was there to hold a small parting tool (which is missing). As old vises go, this one in in excellent operating condition with intact castings - all three mounting points in the base are in nice shape. Physical appearance is above average with the typical bump and bruises from appropriate use: the good new is it doesn't have heating damage or spatter from welding or large wounds from cutoff tools or hacksawing. It looks like it had good care through its working life. It has some red paint peeking through from under the green - neither may be the original color - but it has a cool look...please check out the photos! Your vintage unrestored LAKESIDE vise will ship to you by USPS Ground Advantage mail. This listing is only open to US buyers. Thank you for taking a look!
