Description: I have for sale a nice example of needlework done by Hmong tribespeople from Southeast Asia. I purchased this myself directly from the Hmong community back in 1987 in West Central Wisconsin. I still have my original receipt and card that came with the purchase. The card says: Hmong Needleart handmade by hill tribespeople from Southeast Asia. Because the Hmong farmers fought on behalf of the U.S. in the Vietnam conflict, they had to flee their homelands after the war. Many of the refugees were resettled in America, bringing with them a centuries-old tradition of fine needlework. This particular piece measures about 9.5 inches by about 9 inches. There are no flaws with this piece. There are no stains or wear of any sort. This item has been stored the entire time, not on display. The back is nicely finished, lovely colors throughout the piece. The cross stitching is beautifully done. It has been stored in a smoke free and pet free home. I will post USPS ground advantage based on zip code. If you have questions, please ask. Thanks for looking and for bidding.
