Description: Vintage Handmade 40s 50 Rayon Day Dress & Jacket Set Side Zip sz M This pretty vintage dress set was handmade in the 1940s or 50s. Fabric is rayon, as was popular at the time given the war effort. The fabric has a print of purple and blue flowers on a gray and white background. The sleeveless dress zips on the left side with a vintage metal zipper while the jacket does not fasten and is meant to be worn open. It also features a couple of pockets on the hip area. The dress does have belt loops, though the belt / sash is missing. We've taken a couple of photos of the dress with one of our ties around the waist so you can see the silhouette with a belt, but our tie doesn't match and isn't included. There is a 3.5" hem if you would like to borrow from it to make a new sash / belt or you could add your own. The dress can also be worn as a shift style with no belt. Construction is all to high standards. Overall, the dress is in excellent condition with no obvious flaws that we could find. You'll love it! Measurements conform to a contemporary size medium.
