Description: DESCRIPTION: From my own collection, I am selling this Vintage 1940s or so Hand Sewn PENNY or Yo Yo quilt. Light blue backing with a large variety of feedsack or feedsack type cottons that appear to be from 1940s. Some, but not all, of the "Pennies" are hand tied with blue thread. The back is mostly a solid piece of cotton, but some of the sides/corners are pieced in. This is probably a Queen, as it is about 85" by 85". The quilt is NOT filled. Perhaps this would be considered a Topper. Not all the pennies are sewn onto the back; they are sewn together. I am not an expert on quilts. I collected what I liked, and have had this one for over 20 years. SIZE: Approx . 85" long, 85" wide. Pennies are about 2" diameter. All measurements to the best of my ability. CONDITION: NON SMOKING home. I see one penny that has come undone (see closeup) and on back there is a contact brown mark, probably come out easily. I DID NOT EXAMINE EACH AND EVERY PENNY! As this is Antique or Vintage, there may be signs of such that I did not notice. This is CLEAN and odor free.
