Description: Vintage Hand Carved American Tobacco Pipe ~1940s / 5" Estate find. From family history this was probably made in Alabama in the 1940s. Listed as unused since there is no indication that it was ever smoked: no charring in the base of the bowl and no bite marks on the pipe stem. Testing with a thin wire shows that the stem is clear all the way through. It rests flat on its own so no stand needed. The surface has aged some, and there are two streaks of what looks like gray or off-white paint on one side. Please be guided by the pictures. 5" overall length; bowl inner diam 5/8".
