Description: A beautiful frosted glass cake plate possibly Indiana, in pastel colors with an ivy leaf or maybe Calla lily motif along the edge which also has scalloping. Really quite a beautiful piece. Would make a beautiful Christmas gift. I think it is 1950s. I’m not a glass expert but I seem to remember running across this as being 1950s Indiana. Since I cannot find that reference now it is a guess based on my memory. This was found in my mother-in-law‘s house and we are selling her pretty things. I could see this with a gorgeous birthday cake with the white marshmallow frosting and sprinkles on it. Spring like it also a bit of the mermaid vibe. Yet this is a vintage piece and better made than the 1990s copies of such glass. It has a low foot which allows the light to travel up through the beautiful frosted glass. Would look gorgeous with a little twinkle lights around it as well. It has the best qualities of midcentury glass. It seems to be somewhat rare because I don’t find another in all my searches now. Last spring I found one. Excellent condition , I can find no chips or cracks nor even knife cut scratches. We don’t remember mom using it so it’s possible she got it when she used to do antiquing in the 70s and 80s. She liked pretty things. We are clearing her estate now and found several of these pretty items. We will combine shipping on more than one whenever possible but please messages before paying so we can send you a new invoice. Thanks for looking
