Description: Vintage 26 Inch crosscut Disston with the Canada Badge, possibly circa 1920 - 1940s. It has an apple handle with over 8cm internal grip width, which is fine for a medium to large hand. The initials WAK are carved into one side, and there are some cosmetic blemishes, but its in solid condition overall. It's possibly a D8 model.I have jointed, sharpened and set the saw, and it is cutting really well. This saw has a lot of depth to the blade, adding to the weight which speeds up cutting. The blade is nice and straight. The blade has a pitted texture overall, and the etch is gone, however it works perfectly well. It's a general purpose cross cut saw, and will cut well in hard and soft woods. It's not suitable for pruning green timber. Of course, being a vintage saw it is re-sharpenable and should last a lifetime with basic maintenance. To be shipped tracked.See my other saw and tool listings.
