Description: This seldom seen, amazing old-school fun Cross Country Racer Kiddie Ride is a replica midget race car integrated with a top mounted mechanical driving display screen Arcade Game. The Cross Country Racer was manufactured in 1961, by All-Tech Industries, located in Hialeah, Florida. The ride features a top mounted driving display screen that uses a Mutoscope style revolving drum for the moving racetrack and colorful countryside racing scenery. The driver tries to keep the model race car that is mounted to the backglass on the winding racetrack as it moves, by skilfully maneuvering / steering the car that is on the display screen... if the driver does not stay on the racetrack, the dashboard instruments light up and flash. The center dial display registers the driver's progress and mileage achieved during the race. The back axle bounces the race car up and down in a gentle motion to simulate the motion and movement of the race car while the ride is operating. The pictures tell the story on this Cross Country Racer Kiddie Ride. This unique ride is a rare survivor and is offered in original, unrestored, used condition.... The ride has bumps and bruises, scrapes and scratches... that are consistent with its 60 plus years of age and having provided endless enjoyment to many young race car drivers over those years. The overall condition of the ride appears to be in very good original condition. The body of the Racer is made of fiberglass.
