Vintage Copper Pan Pot LID ONLY 8IN Sauce Pan Pot Skillet Replacement Lid AS IS

Description: ONE Vintage Copper Pan Lid, Lined with Tin, Brass Handle Being Sold AS IS due to corrosion where handle joins onto lid. Corrosion visible on both inside and outside of lid. From the 1970s or 1980s. Appears to be unused. Has been in storage for decades, so also expect some minor shelf wear and minor tarnish. Brass handle with copper rivets. Many years ago, my Dad used the copper pan this lid came from to make a clock, but he did not use the lid.The lid has been wrapped in paper in storage for decades. This lid is about 40 years old! My guess is that it is made in Portugal, as that is where he got his copper pans from, BUT this lid is unmarked. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:Entire Outside Measurement of lid is about 8-1/4 inch diameterUnderside measurement, inside rim, is just under 8 inches in diameterHeavy Lid, weighs 10.6 Ounces, UNPACKED NOTE: I believe that the lid has a clear coat/lacquer on it to keep it from tarnishing. This lid has not been polished in decades, it has just had the original paper wrapped around it. Therefore, if Buyer wishes to use in oven, or place where heat will be used, the lacquer should be removed first, before heat is applied.
