Vintage BSA Cub Scout Uniform 1970s - Pants & 2 Shirts / Greensboro NC Troop 357

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This item is a vintage BSA Cub Scout uniform with extra shirt from the early 70’s from Troop 357 Greensboro, NC. It includes 1 pair of long pants and *2 long sleeve shirts. One shirt has several merit patches, pins and the other only has the troop info on the sleeve. *Both shirts are missing fabric in areas where patches were removed. In some pics, I placed a piece of white paper so you can see where the fabric is missing. Long Pants – Navy blue color with yellow gold piping on front pockets and the Cub Scouts emblem. Boy Scout stamp with care info on inside back pocket. I did not see a size. 2 pockets front / 2 back – 1 with button close. It looks like these were taken up quite a bit in the waist. Knee patches have been pressed inside. I took a pic with one leg turned inside out to show. Both legs are done this way - like the kind we had back in the 70s. The knees look like they’re in pretty good condition so these were probably done in anticipation of wear to be done. There is some staining on knees. Inseam measures approx. 22” Waist to hem approx. 30” Long Sleeve Shirt #1 – American Flag & “Cub Scout” sewn above front pocket. 2 front button pockets. Patch & Troop number sewn on left sleeve. Boy Scouts of America Official Shirt patch – no size (unable to read). Additional patches, merits, pins – Webelos metal pin with Tri-colored knitted tassels – blank no pins / upper right sleeve Progress Towards Ranks w/ beads – 4 red & 3 yellow beads / attached front right pocket button Guilford Courthouse March 15, 1781 patch – tacked (not completely sewn on) front rt pocket Soap Box Derby Ribbon Pin with Medal Star Service Pin – Year 1 Cub Scouts Advancement Patches – Bobcat, Wolf & Bear w/ arrow points (looks like points may have been tacked down but since come loose) Pit to Pit measures approx.15” Shoulder to hem approx. 19” – 22” Sleeve length approx. 16” *This shirt is missing fabric on right sleeve where patch has been cut off. The area is directly below the Webelos pin. This will need a patch placed over the hole to conceal. Light stains near front buttons. Long Sleeve Shirt #2 – “Cub Scout” sewn above front pocket. 2 front button pockets. Patch & Troop number sewn on left sleeve. Boy Scouts of America Official Shirt patch – no size (unable to read). No Additional patches, merits, or pins Pit to Pit measures approx.15” Shoulder to hem approx. 19” – 22” Sleeve length approx. 16” *This shirt is missing fabric on right sleeve where patch has been cut off & above front pocket where American flag used to be. These both will need patches placed over the holes to conceal. Items have a musty smell and will need to cleaned. As you can tell, I also didn’t iron. 😊 Comes from smoke-free home.
