Description: See photos for details and condition. Used. Exterior Chrome Frame Case is speckled with rust breaking through the finish. Tab or Tape Hook is steel and fully covered in surface rust. Some minor scratches and scuffs along the metal tape length but not bad. The Northrop triangular logo is printed on white plastic insert and is clear and practically scratch-free. Bottom of case is stamped with BARLOW. Back side is a rounded brick pattern design with areas of surface rust. I got this at an Southern California estate sale for a retired aerospace engineer about 15 years ago. I am only guessing, but assume the rust happened from moisture during long storage and not from actual abuse or usage. Northrop most likely handed out this tape measure as a gift to their engineers. I had some other Northrop premiums that were dated from the late 1970 to mid-1980’s. We are downsizing our house, and selling old sentimental treasures.
