Description: Here we have an antique miniature clear glass oil / kerosene lamp with a white milk glass twist-on style chimney...I believe it is a "Glow Lamp" used as a night light in the late1800s..."Pat. Apld. For" is embossed around the lower edge of the font and the bottom is embossed with "Patd. Aug. 27 1895, Made In USA"...the bottom embossing is very faint and hard to see...the lamp is in very good condition for it's age and has a slight purple hue to the font...there are some air bubbles and small chips & flea bites along the rough ground top rim...the delicate chimney is embossed with a floral design and it has a few chips on the top rim...the glass burner is not included...it measures approx. 4" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall...
