Description: Vintage 1960s MCM 12'' Hanging Wire WHITE Glass MOON GLOBE Light CEILING FIXTURE Here is a very cool looking vintage opaque glass moon orb sphere with its original fixture and hanging cord. This light is a huge 12 inches in diameter !!! Its an original Progress Lighting Company product and dates from the late 1950s early 1960s, it has a sticker inside the top canopy dome. You see many of the newer replica hanging orbs, but not many of the originals have survived. These are very hard to find in this good of condition, its a diamond in the rough, really some great bones for a restoration - looks all original too. The light is in really great condition with some light surface rust in places and loss to the metal surfaces of the fixture pieces, overall general wear, glass globe is fine with only a nick or two on the fitter end, pretty clean too, cord is yellowed but still flexible and not brittle at all. The globe measures approximately 12 inches across. Has been thoroughly tested and is working well, the drop hanging cord is somewhat yellowed/browned over time but is still solid and electrically fine, I had no hesitation in testing it out. Will drop hang about 14 inches from the ceiling cap to the top of the cap on the globe. Will looks super in any room and quite the statement piece. Please see all photos provided. Thanks for looking.
