Description: DESCRIPTION: Rare color. It is very uncommon to find factory metallic paint on any fifties radio. Metallic paints were very new technology (and expensive!) back then. Add to that, this inverted trapezoidal design that is instantly recognizable of the fifties. This a big radio but not very heavy. Very automotive looking. Would look awesome in a car guy shop or man cave! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Truetone in 1957 working condition..some static/buzzing when turning the volumne and stations up and down. The unit could use a good cleaning . Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly. Bakelite cabinet has some wear and tear by the pictures and the cord has been repaired. This radio has not been repainted. Factory original cool rare metallic gun metal green color! This radio is almost 70 years old! n. Dial light DOES NOT work. Station knob will only goes back (left) to around 900 AM but goes up to the 1600s (right). If I don't sell, it will be a winter project of mine to restore.
