Description: Vintage 12" Ebony & Brass Parallel Rule - Maritime Ship Nautical Navigation This is a vintage Ebony & Brass Hinged Parallel Rule. It is approximately 12" long and is unmarked. These were used in the maritime trades for nautical ship navigation. It has beveled edges for drawing parallel lines. I rate this parallel ruler in GOOD + CONDITION overall. The dark wood and brass are beautiful. There is a minor chip along one of the outside edges. Still, a very nice example of a vintage parallel rule for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection! If you have any questions regarding this item, please ask me prior to bidding.
