Description: The recognized 48 Star US Flag pattern is seen with eight stars in six rows evenly aligned. Early flag manufactures were at liberty to use a staggered pattern, but eventually an executive order demanded consistency (President Taft’s Executive Order 1556). This school or parade flag is in very good condition although the blue has faded some, and there is some stain on the upper fly end. Three tacks hold the flag to the dowel. I have included a finial which fits the dowel, but removed it to fit in the shipping box.
