Description: Selling this unmarked½ gallon stoneware moonshine jug with corn cob stopper. Rescued from the Fort Valley Virginia area inthe early 1960’s, it was full at the time but not now. Originally it was sealed with a cork, thecorn cob was a later addition for comic effect. The jug stands9-1/2” tall and has a diameter of 5-1/2” at the bottom. The jug is in very good condition with no cracks or leaks. Some of the original glazing is gone from the lower part and the bottom has darkened. The nicks and dimple around the ridge have always been there and I assume from when it was made.
