Description: The Uganda 10,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Bank of Uganda in 2007 to commemorate the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that took place in Kampala on November 23 to 25, 2007. The banknote is predominantly yellow and brown. Its obverse features the coat of arms of Uganda, the bank emblem, and the CHOGM logo. The reverse features the Owen Falls dam and the Nalubaale Power Station in Jinja. it also shows two mountain gorillas. The note contains a green-to-red windowed security thread with demetalized BOU 10000. It also has a watermark that reveals a crested grade, an electrotype 10000, and Cornerstones. The note is 156 x 76 mm in size. It also contains the signatures of Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile and Rweikiza Rweinamu. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition.
