Description: Vintage New Old StockLimited SupplyVintage 1954 UFO Religion Book: 'My Trip To Mars' by William Ferguson, leader of the Cosmic Circle of Fellowship, 13 pages. The Cosmic Circle of Fellowship was a mid-twentieth century UFO religion that claimed to offer interdimensional travel through deep relaxation. The Circle was founded by a mailman named William R. Ferguson after he claimed to be the first Earthman to visit Mars, where he then learned from the Martians that inhabit the planet. In 1954, Ferguson was released from prison after serving two years for medical fraud after selling Martian-inspired quack medical devices. Upon his release, he published this 13-page book that describes his trip to Mars and shares some of the teachings he received from the Martians. Remember, the 1950s were peak UFO craze, and Ferguson followed suit of other "contactees" that claimed to have sustained contact with extraterrestrials and flying saucers. 'My Trip to Mars' was used in Cosmic Circle of Fellowship meetings and gatherings, often held in public places such as The Palmer House in Chicago, Illinois. After Ferguson died in 1967, the organization gradually split into other groups and eventually dwindled out of existence.
