Originally published in May of 1942, it is an early version of the MB Maintenance Manual. 8.5"x11" Format ~ 138 Pages From the Manual: This Motor Vehicle has been thoroughly tested and inspected. Like any other piece of machinery, to maintain it in proper operating condition, it should be lubricated at the time specified using the proper grades of oil and grease. All working parts as well as oil holes should be kept clean and free from dirt and grit. This Vehicle should periodically have a systematic inspection. All parts in this vehicle are completely interchangeable with those manufactured by Ford Motor Company under the contract listed on the preceding page. Both Ford and Willys part numbers are therefore listed under the illustrations showing view of the various assemblies. These part numbers should be used only for the purpose of identifying parts as they are mentioned in the text, and, the accuracy of the part number should be verified by referring to the parts book when placing orders for parts. In the following pages we have described how to take care d this unit and handle it in such a way that it will give maximum service and dependable performance. In the forepart of this Manual will be found complete instructions relative to conditioning the unit for Service, Driver's Instructions, Lubrication and Inspection. In the Maintenance and Repair Section will be found instructions which will enable one to make proper adjustments and repairs. This is laser printed with 24 pound paper. Copy paper is generally 20 pound and you can feel the difference. It is bound with GBC plastic combs so that it will lay flat. If you would like I can, rather than bind with the plastic comb, three hole punch it for your binder. This is not a simple Xerox copy. If you are collecting jeep manuals or looking for a prop to display at your next show, this is not the manual you want. If you want some usable information on the finest truck ever made in America, that will lay flat on your bench when you are working on your pride and joy or some period information on how they did it sixty years ago while you curl up in front of the fire this winter, this is the one you can use.~ Shipping ~ I’ll pay that inside the US.
