Description: Time Magazine Pony Edition Rare famous Time Magazine Japan Surrendors X issue. 2 weeks after atomic bombs hit Japan. *This is a Pony Edition - a smaller format that was printed and distributed to those serving abroad, primarily in Europe. These pony editions contained the same content as the regular issue of Time, only they had no ads, were smaller format, and printed on thin paper / one staple / etc. Not only is this a historical item on its own - the fact that it (likely) was in Europe and read / kept by someone serving in the war effort is really, really cool. These are rare. They are made with low quality materials - not only as part of directing materials for the war effort, but these were essentially a "read and discard" item. Nice condition - photo is fair representation.
