Description: Three (3) Tutsi Basket Rwanda African Art Metal & fibers (CR) Additional Information: I was told by the owner that these baskets are from Africa and that Baskets such as this are among the most exquisite artworks made by the Tutsi or by people of other ethnic groups, including Hutu and Twa people. The Tutsi (Watutsi or Watusi) people live mainly in Rwanda and Burundi alongside with the Hutu and the Twa with whom they share similar cultures. I am not sure of the fiber; it feels like plastic to me, but it could be a vegetable fiber. I love the style shape and creative weaving. Sizes of the basket’s are: small blue 6” diam., green and red is 8” and the red orange is 8”. See photos for description and condition. I qualify this description by what the owner told me. I cannot verify it. They are beautiful. In never used shape (Pristine).
