Description: The LOSS OF THE SS. TITANIC By Lawrence Beesley Copyright 1912 Published June 1912 ONE OF THE SURVIVORS account of the sinking on its maiden voyage, of the RMS Titanic. Published just 9 weeks after the disaster, written by English science teacher, journalist and author Lawrence Beesley (31 December 1877 - 14 February 1967) He was instructed to jump onto Lifeboat No. 13 just before it launched. Personal inscription inside front cover reads: Merry Christmas 1913 from Nellie. Boston Mass This book was given by my Great-Grandmother to one of her siblings who lived in Virginia City, NV on the occasion of Christmas 1913. This book has been in my family's library since then, almost 109 years. Please see photos for condition. Small bend in upper right corner of cover. Small white mark on cover. Some foxing on two pages in beginning only. Please see photos. I am no expert but likely what one would see in a book that's over a century old, that has only been carefully read or handled by a few people. Has that wonderful old antique book "smell". Please message me if you have questions or want more photos. I always donate a portion of the sale of my eBay listings to charity through their giving branch. Thank you so much!
