It’s ultra-rare and incredibly valuable; an authentic Jokerized Gotham Times volume #1 newspaper. Similar to the one found in the staked out hotel room with the murdered policemen during the funeral scene in “the Dark Knight” movie. This first edition of the Jokerized Gotham Times has been fully Jokerized. It was released on November 23, 2007 during a viral marketing campaign for the blockbuster film "The Dark Knight". No one is sure how many copies wherever produced due to the shear amount of time it must have taken to produce each issue. It is a custom piece of Batman memorabilia that has been 100% vandalized by hand and meant to look like the vandalization committed by the Joker. Please refer to the attached photos. Look at all the detail, look at the amount of 100% by-hand vandalization. The amount of splattered blood, the bloody fingerprints, over 60 hand pasted montage pieces, the burn holes, superimposed text over headlines, circled select phrases in red ink and colored headshots with Joker-style make-up all drawn or applied by hand. As part of the original promotion an approximately 5” x 6” Vandalized sheet of heavy news stock was used as a folded seal for the newspaper with the famous Joker saying “I believe what doesn’t kill you… simply makes you stranger” prominently scrawled across it. You’ll be receiving both. This painstakingly Jokerized edition has been applied on an authentic 12.5” X 23” front and back, 25” X 23 double truck four page tab issue of a souvenir copy Gotham Times newspaper that were given out to comic bookstores during this campaign. Due to its incredible popularity other edition’s soon followed. This is volume 1, the first and by far the hardest to find. And I can assure you that it will be a near impossibility to find any of these Jokerized editions, if at all. Think about shear amount of man hours required to produce each edition. This is the rarest of the rare, an incredible, atypical, singular piece of memorabilia for all Batman fans. It truly is one of a kind and I can honestly say that I have never seen another.
