Description: This GOLDEN-AGE HARVEY comic is: "TERRY & The PIRATES # 13, 1948". VERY HIGH GLOSS, TIGHT, SUPPLE, 52-pages, total art by MILTON CANIFF on this WORLD WAR II , CBI (China-Burma-India) Theater adventure. Terry and FLIP CORKIN meet FEMME FATALE "BURMA". The TEXT Feature gives a DETAILED background on Colonel PHILIP G. COCHRAN, the REAL-LIFE ALTER EGO of the strip's "FLIP CORKIN" ... he REALLY was a FIGHTER PILOT in North Africa, later transferred to CBI. Has a full-page C.C. BECK "Captain TOOTSIE" cartoon ad for TOOTSIE ROLLS, starring BABE RUTH. A VERY NICE COMIC, even though a bug chewed a 1/2" x 1/2" triangular piece off several pages from both front and rear lower right corners (see detail pix) ... but ONLY 4-pages had just a little bit of one panel's art affected ... the other pages were ads and filler stuff.
