Its 1:1 magnification and a close 9.1" minimum focus distance make it perfect for capturing detailed shots of small or nearby subjects. The short telephoto focal length, wide f/2.8 aperture, and 12-blade diaphragm deliver beautiful, flattering images. Its compact and lightweight build ensures comfortable handling, whether shooting handheld or on a tripod. The lens is also designed for durability, with moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coating, and BBAR-G2 coatings for protection in challenging weather. The 12-blade circular aperture produces 12-point starburst effects with smooth, circular bokeh. A focus limiter switch enhances autofocus performance by narrowing the focus range, speeding up lock-on, and reducing missed shots. It also features a customizable focus set button via the Tamron Lens Utility software, as well as a calibrated focus ring for precise manual focusing. The included hood has a sliding window for convenient filter changes. The lens is fully compatible with Tamron Lens Utility software for adjusting settings, assigning functions, and updating firmware.
