Description: TAGUA EARRINGS, tagua nut jewelry artisan handcrafted in Ecuador We are super excited about our design of trendy Mindo tagua earrings. She is made of 3 thin pieces of tagua, expertly shaped by hand and assembled just for us. Please follow here and on Facebook for style inspo, new releases and the very best deals. Color is LIGHT PINK, other colors shown as available in the collection. Tagua is a nut from a palm tree, found only in South America. Most is found in Ecuador, in my Manabi region along the coast. It is commonly called vegetable ivory. It is so close in makeup and appearance, it is difficult to distinguish from animal ivory. Gathering the fallen tagua, has many benefits economically and naturally sustains the rainforest. It causes no harm, unlike the cruel world of sourcing animal ivory. Our beads are the nut of açaí berries, commonly referred to and sold as tagua. Like tagua, açaí is a nut from a palm tree, found in South America’s equatorial rainforests. TAGUA BELLA is designed by me in collaboration with the talented artisans in my region of Ecuador. Each is artisan-made by hand. TAGUA BELLA is fair-trade, purchased from the maker, and making a difference in their lives. Ecuadors treasure is yours. Stay full of life, full of color. And keep spreading the tagua love! xo, Amber Thank you! Hooks are 925 sterling silver plated. Each is unique and will vary slightly from photos. Tagua has natural shapes and sizes. Please allow for slight differences that are not flaws.
